“Moving to the Third Edition of the Environment Rating Scales-Supporting Programs Participating in YoungStar to Prepare for 2021/2022”
This 3-hour virtual course is intended for child care providers who are currently using the Revised Edition of the Environment Rating Scales for program assessment. The course focuses on the 3rd editions of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-3), Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-3) and Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS-3). This training will address questions and concerns around the differences.
Participants will have time to explore the scales, ask questions, add additional notes for clarification and highlight required interactions.
Participants will receive a copy of the ERS scale (approximate value of $25) they request upon registering and paying for the class. The notes pages will be sent for each participant to add to the book before the day of the training.
Date of the training December 1, 2020 (register and pay by November 20, 2020). No late registrations will be taken. The scale will be sent directly to your home. You must complete the task of adding the notes pages to the book before attending the training in order to fully understand the process. Instructions will be included with the notes pages themselves, which will come in a separate mailing.
The cost is $25 per person for 3 hours of training, including the book. You will need a computer with a camera and audio capabilities and be able to connect to Zoom for the training. The connection and handouts will be sent via email before the training.
